What is considered the current best model camera for captures?

Hopefully starting up OpenSpace on a new project and I really noticed that from my last project the quality difference of captures from earlier in the job (2020) vs recently is pretty dramatic.  We upgraded which camera we used midway through the project and it makes the earlier captures almost seem useless in comparison to the increased detail we get now.  Just curious what the recommendation for the current best camera specifically for use in capture walks.  Thanks.

Facial blur blurring out more than just the face/body.

Hey all, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else is having issues with the facial/body blur that is implemented? We’ve ran into issues where some blurs blur well too much area(1) or blurs something that resembles nothing like a face(2). Example of problem #1: The face is blurred, the body is blurred, but so is approximately 30-40% of the image where there is no individual.Example of problem #2: Some structures and piles get blurred in some images but not all.Feel free to share other issues you have ran into when it comes to the facial/body blur.

Project Highlight: Hurricane Ian Relief, Pink Shell Resort and Gilbane Building CompanyProject Highlight

What?Gilbane Building Company, a globally integrated construction firm, utilized OpenSpace to document the Pink Shell Resort complex in Fort Myers after Hurricane Ian struck the west coast of Florida this past fall. Pink Shell Resort is a large condominium complex located on Estero Island and consists of three buildings with nine stories and 205 units in total. After Hurricane Ian passed, the Gilbane team was called in to help assess damage to the resort, begin demolition on floors that needed repairs, and start remediation work on lower levels of the building.  Why is this important? Hurricane Ian struck Florida this past September and devastated a majority of the state. It’s estimated that the hurricane caused $40-$70B of property damage and displaced thousands of residents. The Fort Myers area was hit especially hard and locations such as Estero Island lost all power, water, gas, and sewer.Due to the size and magnitude of damage, the Pink Shell Resort posed a challenge for both the

Location Tracking through phone

Does anyone else have issues with the location tracking? When I take a capture it forces me to change the location tracking to ‘always on’. I would prefer ‘only when using the app’, but it doesn’t seem to accept that. A day or so later after updating the setting so I can capture on the job site - my phone notifies me and asks if I really want the openspace app to be always tracking. No, I would prefer not. So I change it back. I have to continually go back and forth in order to get a successful capture.It doesn’t seem like all my co-workers have this issue, but I have noticed it with some. What setting am I missing?

Try our new Closed status for Field Notes!

 We’ve just released a new Closed status for Field Notes that is live for all users! It’s a status for Field Notes to signify that work is officially done and it has a few new functionalities: Hidden by default: When you mark a field note with a closed status, it will be hidden by default. There is an option in the Status filter to "Show closed" field notes if you'd like to see them. Permissions: Only the field note creator, a site admin, or org admin can close a field note Editing: A number of the fields in a field note become disabled for editing in a closed field note - re-open it to edit (anyone can re-open a field note).   For more details you can look at our support article or try out the feature yourself today!
