Recently when naming captures on the mobile app, the suggestions box will cause the text box to disappear. This is a minor issue, but can become annoying when typing out capture names that are similar. For example, if I have a capture named “East Campus L4.5 5/23” and I am moving down to the next level and want to name it “East Campus L3.5 5/23,” the text box will disappear which causes me to guess at the typing until the suggestion box goes away. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

The top tip that I an give for new users is to set aside time in your schedule each week to capture. Making it a habit to capture and blocking off time in your schedule makes you do it on a more consistent schedule. There are many times that we forget to do captures or we don’t capture as frequently as you should and you miss important aspects of the job.
Opening the Door to ClearSight Door Tracking!Product Update
🔎 What?A new progress tracker! 📈 Leverage the power of ClearSight to ensure you never lose track of another door ever again. With ClearSight door tracking, users can track the installation of door frames and hanging of door panels across the entire project. Hours of walking the site counting doors with a notebook can be reduced to minutes with OpenSpace’s passive capture and ClearSight’s intuitive progress dashboards. Know the installation status of any door, monitor crew productivity, get clear visibility into remaining work, and so much more with ClearSight door tracking. 🤔 Why did we build this?Because we all know doors can be a pain 😅 Miscommunication between contractors and vendors, production issues, delivery mixups, and simply losing material on site make the process of managing the installation of doors complex and at times frustrating. We understand that anyone managing the installation of doors needs as much actionable data at their fingertips so that a missing frame or

Hello Community, does anybody of you have experience with the Illumagear Lighting and could please share a real-life project example showing an on/ off comparison, e.g. in the split-screen view? It would be nice to see some actual project footage as we are currently considering introducing this in one of our projects. Thank you and best regards,Richard
Hi there, We have a project where we uploaded a revit model into the Openspace using the Upload project. We have a BIM360 project and linked it with the architects BIM360 project but do not see the BIM360 project in the viewer, but the old uploaded model. Can we switch this out for the BIM360 link? or is this not how the BIM360 project link works? Thanks in advanceDamon

Collaboration with Field Notes just got easier with photo markups! Mark your location on your floor plan and add a Field Note. Call attention to specific issues in the photo, sketch the correct orientation, or just make your point more obvious. These markups can be seen on mobile and on web. Annotate photos out in the filed and then the office can confirm that they got the message. Please share thoughts here after you have tried the photo markup capability!

Hi Everyone,I work with 2 screens (how does anyone not these days!) and often when walking the site virtually in openspace, I wish that I could have my plan on one screen and the 360 photos on another. Does anyone know how to make this happen? See the photo above with the plan area in red and the 360 photos in blue. Unfortuantely I can’t figure out how to open the plan in it’s own seperate window. Please let me know if you knwo how to do this.Often when trying to look at different areas of the site I have to expand the plan to click the area I want and then minimize it to see the photos. It would save a lot of time if I could have them on two seperate screens.
I recently was using the 360 photo capture on my project in NYC and was approached by one of our third party inspectors asking about OpenSpace. I showed him how to use the app and some examples of the captures on the job and when looking into use cases and pricing, it seems like the target users in mind are owners, GCs, and trades. Has there been any thought to inspection agencies utilizing OpenSpace?
Hi All, In a few months, my team will be using OpenSpace for the first time on a new ground-up mixed use project. I will be managing and helping set up the initial process for our team to use OpenSpace. Our project engineer and superintendents will likely be doing most of the captures. Any tips or suggestions for a successful initial setup that would provide the most value through the duration of the project? Any lessons learned on what you wish you had implemented from day one? Any feedback or tips are appreciated!

Did anyone have to make a schedule to walk for their project? This helped provide some accountability to make sure the team was all doing their part in getting captures/data.Here’s a link to one I made if someone needs a starting point to make something for themselves.OpenSpace Schedule(black - the floor not existing yet, white - available capture window time frame, orange - scheduled finish)Who else has a schedule or some other supplemental tracking system they used for their projects to share to help out folks that may need some traction?
A few months ago, Clancy & Theys led an OpenSpace webinar centered around optimizing OpenSpace. I highly encourage those of you who would like to create more efficiencies to listen to the recording, but I have posted the takeaways below. Have a ‘Getting Started’ Guide Provided Equipment Project Creation, Who to Contact and Where to Go Support Additional Resources and Recommendations Capturing: Walking Paths: How are you planning out the walk? Consistency with Naming Conventions: Progress and Milestone Walks Date in Name of Capture Viewing Captures: Sheets View Calendar View Swift Navigation through Field Notes Use Field Notes to navigate through the project Coordination meeting: Drop a Field Note and tag it BIM Coordination (“Hey, we are installing sleeves…” and notify people as a way to track it Have PMs add Field Notes in a Sub/Internal meeting - A way to log views and jump around the project Room location Sharing Captures: Shared Folder Turnove
OpenSpace Field Notes are a great communication and documentation tool and are used in many different ways. What are some creative ways that your teams have used Field Notes? As Field Note features have evolved, it’s been amazing to see how our users have come up with different ways to use this tool. I've seen Field Notes used for QC/Safety Issue documentation, equipment tracking, and even O&M Manual handoff to the client!
Has anyone utilized the “playback” function on the web version during meetings? I know it usually takes a lot of bandwidth to run it while on a virtual meeting but seems the 0.5 speed is the most effective with the options provided. I wouldn't mind seeing a 0.25 speed option. Looking to see if anyone else uses this and how you apply it or showcase it with the teams.
