Restrictions

Good Day A query on my end, is restrictions. Based on the notion that most constructions sites do not have restricted viewing areas, there are a few areas that I have worked on, sites such as Banks, medical facilities ect. My question is based on these types of projects, is there is a feature or will there be a feature that may restrict an area, either during its construction life span or a possibility of restricting it once sensitive information like security is installed.  RegardsAK

Back pain from carrying the camera

I wear the Insta360 One RS (250 grams weight) about 15 hours a week. I've recently had tension in my upper back that I associate with carrying the camera. I would like to know if other people have similar experiences and if there are any tips on how to prevent it.Best regards

OpenSpace Product Recommendations

Hey Everyone, I’ve used the Insta360 OneX2 camera and Ricoh Theta Z1 Camera on my jobs so if anyone has any questions about these cameras let me know. I have a list of supplemental products in this list below if any is interested in getting these for a good deal.EX: Rechargeable battery pack, USB-C cables, camera pouch. Tablet I use is a Samsung Galaxy S5E.

Which cameraangles are used for what?

When we started to work with the OpenSpace capturing I was walking around with a perpendicular assembled camera on my helmet.Now I saw the people on OpenSpace walking around with a forward facing version on their helmets.I think it is better to avoid clashes in narrow areas but are there other advantages too?

Hey all,I was demo-ing OpenSpace to our marketing team and was asked if there was any way to generate a dollhouse or orthomosiac image with the 360 captures similar to other reality capture products on the market. Is this something that can be done currently? Mobile App Error

I created a capture and went to upload it on the Desktop Sync app, but it won’t recognize there are captures that need to be uploaded. On my mobile app, the very top has a ribbon in red that says “Upload Error Check your internet connection,” but I have internet connection. It’s never done anything like this

Project Highlight: Granger Construction and Caro Psychiatric Hospital

 Granger Construction, a General Contractor based out of Lansing, Michigan, utilized OpenSpace to document the Caro Psychiatric Hospital project in Caro, Michigan. Granger Construction was selected as the Construction Management partner by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and the Department of Health and Human Services to construct a new 100-bed, 127,000 SF psychiatric hospital in Caro, Michigan.  Why is this important? The Caro Psychiatric Hospital project replaced the existing, aging facility, and brought all support services under one roof, better meeting the long-term psychiatric care needs in Michigan. The project provided the central Michigan region with vital access to physical and mental health resources and the hospital is one of the largest employers in the region. Granger began using OpenSpace on the Caro project in 2021 to help enhance jobsite documentation and provide jobsite visibility for remote teams. Just have a question. Is it on the roadmap for the ACC Field Note Integration to be available on tablets/mobile devices? Currently getting this when I test it out on tablet.

Turnover / Closeout of Captures

I am curious how everyone is turning over their OpenSpace captures to clients at the end of the project. I typically have walked them through bookmarking the home page and that has been fine but just doesn't seem ideal. What have you experienced worked best or what have you done for closing out jobs on here?

One X3 Camera Stalls on Capture Screen

I’ve been having trouble with the One X3 cameras stalling on the capturing screen just after finishing a walk. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Has anyone found a solution to the problem? I have all software and firmware updated and the camera is still having problems. My only solution right now is to supply my field with the more expensive RS One cameras since the X2’s have been discontinued.Also, this issue isn’t just one camera, it seems to be the majority of the X3’s that I have.

Hardhat Obscuring Photo

We have been using OpenSpace on several projects and one thing that’s consistently annoying is how much the hardhat obscures the image. We are using Ricoh Z1 cameras with the OpenSpace mounting bracket, but you still end up seeing quite a bit of hard hat in the final rendering. When I look at the videos on the OpenSpace website, they seem to move seamlessly through different photos and rotate, but I never see a hard hat obscuring the photo at all. Our camera looks like the mount in the support page. In a small corridor, the hard hat obscures enough of the photo to make it difficult to see the floor or wall base.Is this a typical problem? Are we doing something wrong or is what’s shown on the website clever marketing angles?Any suggestions for better picture quality and less hard hat? FYI, I did notice that if you mount the camera at an angle on the back of the hard hat, it makes it even worse.

Mounting Bracket for Hard Hat

Hi All, first time user/poster so apologies in advance if this question has already been answered. How do we get our hands on a mounting bracket similar to the one viewed in the promo vids? Does this mounting bracket work for both Ricoh Z1 and insta360 x2?
