Best lighting accessory for camera

Team, Any opinions on the best 360 degree lighting accessories when using openspace in dark or low-light areas? We purchased the Halo lights from the Illumagear but had to improvise and add additional headlamps at angles at the blind spots. It added some weight to the hard hat with the camera, headlamps and accessories so felt a lil uncomfortable walking more than an hour (big site). https://shop.illumagear.com/collections/frontpage/products/halo-sl

Hey Everyone,As an org admin, I find that when have to share with everyone in my project team the Tenant Fit-Out Demo Project, it is still a steep learning curve for new users in my project team. OpenSpace BIM Link Issue

Has anyone had issues with their captures linking with a BIM file? The sync has worked for me 3 times previously with smaller files.I use the architects’ .nwd file and it is about 68,000 KB. I’m having trouble with linking the model with captures. I uploaded the model (on the right) a week after the captures. I waited another week for the model to sync after the .nwd BIM file upload. The captures and BIM model did not sync after this process.

Location Tracking through phone

Does anyone else have issues with the location tracking? When I take a capture it forces me to change the location tracking to ‘always on’. I would prefer ‘only when using the app’, but it doesn’t seem to accept that. A day or so later after updating the setting so I can capture on the job site - my phone notifies me and asks if I really want the openspace app to be always tracking. No, I would prefer not. So I change it back. I have to continually go back and forth in order to get a successful capture.It doesn’t seem like all my co-workers have this issue, but I have noticed it with some. What setting am I missing?

Vehicle Mounted Operation

For those OpenSpace users interested in capturing larger sites, we have combined our 360 camera with hitch mounted poles.  This allows the operator to stay in the vehicle cab around mobile equipment and with a slow idle, can cover rough terrain and larger areas much more effectively.  This mode of capture can stress the route reconstruction so results may vary but is definitely worth exploring for industrial projects.https://wonderpole.com/camera-pole/

Plan Grid Intergration

@OpenSpace Product Thank you for releasing the Plan Grid Integration. I haven’t experimented with it yet but I am an avid user of Plan Grid on my construction projects. It will be a great tool to link RFIs and Tasks visually from OpenSpace into Plan Grid. Have a great 4th!!

User Experience Questions

I am a new adopter and I am working to develop the best implementation for my company. After a few hands on captures I have a few ideas and questions. I may be alone in some of these comments.To jump into a capture it’s called “IMAGES” which was initially confusing. This could potentially be improved by calling it something else like “Captures” or “3D photos” or even “Enter”. I get the symbology now as I see it used elsewhere, but if it was a different color it might pop better to indicate that’s what you really want to see.The scroll feature seems disproportionate. I feel like I need five or six full scroll wheel units to zoom into the part of the floor plan I want to see. I find myself using the floor plan to navigate a lot, and I am really exercising my scroll wheel finger. The zoom similarly feels slow. This may all be part of the software intending to be phone/tablet based, but I see myself looking at these captures on my computer often.  Is there a way to set a preference to the

Capture Naming Glitch

Recently when naming captures on the mobile app, the suggestions box will cause the text box to disappear. This is a minor issue, but can become annoying when typing out capture names that are similar. For example, if I have a capture named “East Campus L4.5 5/23” and I am moving down to the next level and want to name it “East Campus L3.5 5/23,” the text box will disappear which causes me to guess at the typing until the suggestion box goes away. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
